Arrival and Pick-up

Day 1: Arrival and Pick-up

On the first day of your Serengeti Wildebeest Migration safari, you will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Here, you will meet your guide who will provide you with all the basic information about your upcoming safari.

Tarangire National Park

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Distance: 0 kms

On day 2, the safari will begin at 7:30 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. You will head towards Tarangire National Park which is about 140 km from Arusha, taking approximately 2 hours to reach. The park is well-known for its diverse landscape and nine different vegetation zones. During the game drive, which goes on till late afternoon, you can spot diverse animals like elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. A small stop for a picnic lunch is included in the game drive. After the game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and drive to the accommodation Lodge for an overnight stay.

Central Serengeti National Park

Day 3: Central Serengeti National Park

Distance: 0 kms

On day 3, after breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive in the central park area, known as the Seronera area, in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the central Serengeti National Park.

North Serengeti National Park

Day 4: North Serengeti National Park

Distance: 0 kms

On day 4, after breakfast, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park before moving towards the northern part of the park. The en-route game drive towards the Kogatende region offers mild action from resident game. As you approach the northern part of the Serengeti, you will notice the terrain changing from plain grassland to a more hilly and broken terrain. The northern region offers a variety of resident game such as zebras, topi, gazelles, buffaloes, leopards, and lions. You will stay at Acacia Migration

 Full Day in Serengeti Migration Routine

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti Migration Routine

Distance: 0 kms

you will start your day at 8:00 am and spend the day tracing the great migration, which can be found in the North Serengeti National Park from mid-June to September. You might even move towards the Lobo valley, which offers an enormous amount of big cat game with lions, leopards, and cheetahs in plenty. During the full-day game drive, you will have a stop for a picnic lunch. The day ends with dinner and overnight stay .

Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti Migration Routine

you will start your day at 8:00 am and spend the day tracing the great migration, which can be found in the North Serengeti National Park from mid-June to September. You might even move towards the Lobo valley, which offers an enormous amount of big cat game with lions, leopards, and cheetahs in plenty. During the full-day game drive, you will have a stop for a picnic lunch. The day ends with dinner and overnight .

Central Serengeti

Day 7: Central Serengeti

You will head south towards the central Serengeti after breakfast. The four-hour drive to the center of Serengeti will offer mild en-route game

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater-Karatu

Distance: 0 kms

After breakfast you will join another game drive in the Serengeti National Park and you might spot animals you haven’t seen during the last two days. The Serengeti is also home to the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard and today you might be able to tick off all the members of this group. After lunch at a picnic site, you will drive in direction of the Ngorongoro Crater and as soon as you have reached the edge of the crater, the caldera opens up before you. This approximate 20 km wide crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to over 25,000 animals. You will drive to the lodge from where you can witness the sun set over the crater.

Day 9: NgoroNgoroCrater-Karatu

Distance: 25 kms

Rise and shine! After breakfast at day break you drive down into the crater. Inside the world’s biggest caldera you will see a diversity of wildlife ranging from black rhinos, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, lions and leopards, to elephants and mountain reedbucks in the forests on the slopes. You might also see buffaloes, spotted hyenas and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area.

Karatu - Lake Manyara National Park -Moshi/Airport

Day 10: Karatu - Lake Manyara National Park -Moshi/Airport

Distance: 175 kms

The small Lake Manyara National Park is home to over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara, which is home to colonies of flamingos and other water birds. Apart from giraffes, hippos, wildebeests and impalas on the grassy plains, you might see lions lounging in the trees and elephants feeding on the acacias in the woodlands. While the forest near the lake is filled with noisy troops of blue monkeys, extended baboon families hang around the roads. After the game drive you will return to Moshi in the late afternoon. .

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Alternatively, you may choose to extend your trip with a visit to Zanzibar or other destinations in Tanzania.
